ABOUT STI
In order to deliver the world's most engaging driving experience to those who love SUBARU, we infuse our products with STI ideas and technology that have been tested in competitive racing.
MISSION
Delivering the world's most engaging driving experience.
This is the mission of STI - SUBARU’s own sports brand.
Our goal is to develop automobiles that provide the world's most engaging driving experience, harmonizing with all five senses.
Every STI part is designed to make the car respond intuitively to the driver’s commands, behaving like a natural extension of the body. Whether navigating a winding road or tackling a high-speed circuit, our parts deliver precision, exhilaration, and comfort—elevating the driving experience for both driver and passengers.
Motorsports are central to our philosophy. Competing against the world’s best, we rigorously test our ideas and technologies under extreme conditions. This process not only pushes the limits of performance but also refines our expertise, strengthening both machine and team.
By integrating race-proven innovations into our products, we bring STI enthusiasts the world's most engaging driving experience—one that’s as emotionally attractive as it is technically outstanding.
STI’S JOURNEY
-
STI Beginnings
Founded in 1988, Subaru Tecnica International (STI) was established with a singular purpose: to push Subaru’s performance to the limits. Through relentless pursuit of excellence in motorsports, STI has honed its expertise and channeled it into the evolution of Subaru vehicles, ensuring that the brand’s DNA remains uncompromisingly innovative.
-
Racing Successes
Since the 1990s, STI has made its mark on the global stage, achieving numerous victories in the World Rally Championship (WRC). These milestones were more than just wins—they were invaluable lessons that shaped the development of Subaru’s production vehicles, blending durability with unparalleled driving performance.
-
Achievements of NBR Challenge
While SUBARU and STI ended its participation in the WRC in 2008, STI has embarked on a new mission to once again aim for the top, leveraging the technical expertise honed through WRC to tackle new challenges in different fields. By 2024, STI claimed six victories in total at the Nürburgring 24-Hour Race.
-
From Track to Street
Technologies born on the track have fueled the innovation of Subaru’s high-performance models like the WRX and BRZ. These advancements have also been applied to the development of STI performance parts, infusing them with racing DNA to deliver exhilarating yet precise driving experiences for all enthusiasts.
