Tokyo, April 28, 2022 – Subaru Corporation is pleased to announce that its motorsports subsidiary, Subaru Tecnica International (STI), will participate in qualifying for the 50th Nürburgring 24-hour race to be held on May 6-8, 2022, at the Nürburgring circuit in the Eifel region of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
The SUBARU WRX STI NBR CHALLENGE 2022 will be entered again this year in the SP3T class for cars with turbocharged engines with displacement up to 2.0 liter. Leading the team as the Team General Manager is Hideharu Tatsumi and as the Team Manager is Takuya Sawada of STI. As for team driver line-up, Carlo van Dam (Netherlands), Tim Schrick (Germany), Marcel Lasée (Germany) and Kota Sasaki (Japan) will be driving, and the team aims to qualify for the final race to be held on May 26-29 of the same year.
