Announcement of the 2021 Season SUBARU BRZ GT300 Machine Livery
Tokyo, April 5, 2021 — Subaru Corporation and its motorsport subsidiary Subaru Tecnica International Inc*1 announced the livery of the SUPER GT SUBARU BRZ GT300 which will be run in the 2021 season.
■SUPER GT Series
Subaru will compete in the GT300 class of SUPER GT with the SUBARU BRZ GT300, which is based on the all-new SUBARU BRZ*2. As announced on February 22, 2021, in this series, which is widely regarded as Japan’s top motorsport category, Masahiro Ozawa will lead the team as the Team General Manager. Team operations will be managed by R&D SPORT*3, and two drivers Takuto Iguchi and Hideki Yamauchi will be driving for the team again as in 2020.
This season's SUBARU BRZ GT300 vehicle livery features a base color of SUBARU blue with a 'racing stripe' of STI's corporate colors of cherry red, black and white placed in the center of the body to express strength and speed.
With new partners, KeePer Technical Laboratory Co., Ltd., SUBARU AUTO ACCESSORIES LTD. and Fuji Buhin Industries Inc. joining this year, the design of the livery is finished so as to highlight the corporate and brand logos of the sponsors.
The new livery will be unveiled at SUPER GT Round 1 (opening round) held at Okayama International Circuit (Mimasaka City, Okayama) on April 10th (Sat.) and 11th (Sun.).
With the concept of a 'lightweight cornering machine', the race car for 2021 incorporates all the technology and knowledge that Subaru has developed over the years in racing. With this car, the team aims to gain points in every race to win the championship.
